I’m pretty bored because it’s been such a deadbeat summer for me at least. My days are usually filled with just napping, eating, watching random shit on the interwebz, and chatting online with my bf and friends while they’re at work. Thug life, y’all!
Anyway, on to the beauty post. I figured I’d put everything in one post since I’m not a beauty blogger who devotes one post for haircare, one post for skincare, one post for makeup. I like to think less is more…so if you want excessive tricks on the perfect skincare/haircare routine, this is not the blog for you.
Since it’s summer, I haven’t been using my hot tools that much. I’ve been sporting my natural hair texture more. I do that with the help of a few products.
-Pureology REALCURL. It’s funny how all of a sudden I started taking care of my hair when I had it dyed at the salon. My hair is dry so I only wash it every other day or so with Pureology products as well, and I put this on when it’s still damp. It protects my hair from UVA/UVB rays and makes my hair color last. Thumbs up for this product.
-Bumble and Bumble SURF SPRAY. I am addicted to this stuff and I also got my boyfriend hooked on this. haha.
-PureBeauty Hair Care Oil. This has Camellia Seed Oil which is amazing for dry hair like mine. It’s a cheaper alternative to the expensive Shu Uemura Essence Absolue (which I’d kill for a giant bottle of the stuff).
(no picture, coz let’s be real here…everyone uses these)
I rarely use eye makeup now coz it’s summer and hot but I try to do it on nights out or if I’m feeling dressy. I never use foundation, maybe I’ll give it a try one day when my face is so uneven or something.
-Too Faced Shadow Insurance. My eye makeup wouldn’t last at all without this.
-MAC Espresso eye shadow. I swipe this all over my lids.
-MAC Shroom eye shadow. I layer this on top of the matte brown eyeshadow to add a lil shimmer to my eyes.
-L’OREAL Lineur Intense. Best liquid eyeliner ever.
-NARS Orgasm blush. Makes my skin glow.
-I also like to use Wet n Wild’s eyebrow kit for my brows. It’s great and it’s super cheap.
That’s it. Most products I’ve acquired by tips from my mom. She knows what’s up when it comes to beauty products for my skin. She’s really the only beauty authority I listen to. ;)Tweet
